Vick Being Looked at by Sheriff Joe?
If there is one thing you don’t want to do as a criminal, it’s commit your crime in Sheriff Joe’s neighborhood. Anybody that has lived in the Phoenix area will tell you, Sheriff Joe is hardcore.
Now it appears Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio is considering Michael Vick a “person of interest regarding pit bull fighting.” Arpaio said Vick’s name has been familiar for a while to his dog fighting investigators.
Sheriff Joe earned the nickname “America’s Toughest Sheriff” for his not so inviting treatment of prisoners, including making them live in tents in the Arizona desert and dressing them in pink under-garments. Here’s a more comprehensive list of his “accomplishments.”
As if things weren’t bad enough for Vick in the last week, now he’s got Sheriff Joe on his trail. Of course, this is the same sheriff that asked for Paris Hilton to be sent to his jail, so he’s no stranger to publicity grabs either.
Vick pleaded not guilty earlier today to federal dog fighting charges, and a trial date was set for November 26.
