Calzaghe vs. Hopkins is almost done, again. Now, it looks like the Mandalay Bay will be the host venue for the proposed April 12 showdown, and HBO Pay-Per-View will air the bout. Both sides have said that the paperwork is now with the lawyers and they expect this deal to be finalized within a few days.
Well, I guess you got nothing now, huh Tucson? Not even in the same conversation with ASU in football, and now, the only thing you were ever good at, basketball, you also can’t hang with the Devils at. That’s a shame. Better luck next year.

The Congressional hearing featuring Brian McNamee, Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte has been postponed until Feb. 13.
Ryan Mallett is indeed transferring from Michigan. Right now the leading candidates to land him are Tennessee, UCLA, Texas A&M, and Arkansas.
Pete Carroll is interested in taking the Atlanta Falcons job.

SHOWTIME has finally done something right and will broadcast the David Haye vs. Enzo Maccarinelli cruiserweight unification bout on Mar. 8 from London. The fight will air on a tape-delay.
June Jones has said aloha to Hawai’i and aloha to SMU.
