Coming off of his decision loss to Kelly Pavlik on Saturday, Lou DiBella has told BoxingScene.com that he is in talks to put Jermain Taylor in the ring with Roy Jones Jr. in June or July on HBO Pay-Per-View. The fight would take place at a catch weight of 170 pounds.

Harry Carey has been dead for 10 years, and the state of baseball announcers has only gotten worse since. I had a chance to meet him once, as a fan, and he was as much or more like Will Ferrell’s impression as you could imagine — but in a good way. I don’t think I’ve watched a Cubs game and enjoyed it in 10 years now.

Hank Steinbrenner says that football has a bigger steroid problem than baseball, and doesn’t know why baseball is being treated so unfairly. Unfortunately for baseball, people only care about performance enhancing drugs if it affects statistics, and football’s stats just aren’t the same as baseball’s.

The NFL Scouting Combine begins tomorrow. Other than the NFL Draft and free agency, this is the only real meaningful week of the NFL offseason.
