Colts receiver Marvin Harrison is under investigation about a shooting earlier this week outside of a bar in Philadelphia. Harrison says that he never left his home.

LSU’s quarterback, Ryan Perrilloux, was kicked off the team for failing a drug test. Perrilloux had already been suspended three times in his LSU career.

Former Michigan QB Ryan Mallett was denied his request for immediate eligibility at Arkansas and must sit out this upcoming season. Mallett had asked for his transfer to allow him to play right away, with the claim being that Rich Rodriguez’s system at Michigan made it necessary for him to find a more suitable program.

Jorge Posada will be out for the next five weeks with a shoulder injury.
