Former NBAer Rodney Rogers was paralyzed in an ATV accident last week. There has been some recovery, so there is hope of a recovery.
Mike Leach is no longer in the running for the Washington job, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s staying at Texas Tech. His agent denies that contract extension talks to stay in Lubbock are underway, and his name has come up as a possible replacement for Tommy Tuberville at Auburn. Pat Hill also withdrew his name from consideration, which should tell you something about the state of Washington football.
Perhaps Florida State was slightly right in their assertion that they invented Gatorade before Florida and called it Seminole Firewater. I think that was also the name of a bad guy on Walker, Texas Ranger.
