There’s something special about Mike Tyson when you put a microphone in his hands. From wanting to eat babies to praising a man for hitting like a mule kick — er, I’m sorry — a fucking mule kick, to expressing his desire to just fade into Bolivian, Mike always knows just what to say to make us smile.
This week at Sundance, there is a film debuting called “Tyson” that is really a documentary that took 20 years to make about the former heavyweight champion.
That leads us to Mike giving a speech to thank some folks while attending the festival, courtesy of Sports Crackle Pop. Concerned about how all of this new attention will hurt Mike’s current state of recovery, Tyson said:
“I’m afraid of how much pussy, and how much money I’m going to get, and it’s going to lead to a lot of problems. That really bothers me a lot. It sounds funny, but it’s really detrimental to me.”
Tyson spent a minute or two talking about how well he was doing and how happy he was in rehab before mentioning that the amounts of pussy and money he could get out of this could really set him back.

Oh Mike, to have your problems…
On a serious note, I really hope Tyson gets himself completely straightened out. He is a true historian of the sport of boxing, and combined with his ring experiences, I’d love to hear him talk at length someday about the sport and where he stands. Even if it’s just a few nights a year on Friday Night Fights, or perhaps even a more mainstream documentary, there is an amazing story in there somewhere, and it would be a shame if Tyson never got the chance to tell it his way.
