The basketball powerhouse that is the N.J.I.T. Highlanders finally won a basketball game, snapping a 51-game losing streak. The unlucky victims were the Bryant University Bulldogs, who fell to a woeful 3-16 on the season. The final score was
Manny Pacquiao will not be fighting Ricky Hatton. Pacquiao refused to give in from his ridiculous 60 percent demands, and Hatton walked away from the fight. Hatton is expected to fight the winner of the Juan Manuel Marquez/Juan Diaz fight, and likely make nearly $15 million, while Pacquiao will probably take about $2 million to fight Edwin Valero. Hey, at least he’ll get 60 percent of the money, though.
The last remaining mustache in the majors is retiring.
Allow me to once again reiterate how much I enjoy watching live sports through the middle of the night. The Australian Open is among the best sporting events in the world, if only for it’s late-night viewing, and of course today’s modern tennis women don’t hurt. We need more sports at this hour. I say we move the Olympics to every year, and always on the other side of the world.
