ESPN gave Scott Van Pelt a surprise vacation package when they suspended him for comments about Bud Selig that he made on his radio show. Apparently, Van Pelt was all over the Commish’s $18 million salary, and how a man that makes so much can still look like that. I don’t see the problem. Sounds accurate to me.

Speaking of ESPNers getting into some trouble, First Take analyst and former Atlanta Falcon Jamal Anderson was arrested for felony cocaine possession when he was caught snorting coke off the back of a toilet. He also had some weed.

Might we see Ichiro pitching in the World Baseball Classic? We just might.

Sports Media Journal looks at the coverage of the A-Rod/steroids story this weekend, and how MLB Network established itself instantly as a major news outlet with its coverage. ESPN is on notice.
