Antonio Margarito and trainer Javier Capetillo have had their licenses revoked by the California State Athletic Commission after a hearing about the substance removed from Margarito’s glove. Margarito was found to have a hard, plaster like substance in his hand wraps prior to his bout with Shane Mosley, and despite Capetillo’s attempt to jump on the grenade, and Margarito’s attempt to claim ignorance, the ruling was revocation.
Miguel Tejada was charged with lying to congressional investigators about his steroid use, and faces up to a year in jail for the misdemeanor. More than likely, Tejada will get a lighter sentence in exchange for his guilty plea. No word on charges for lying about his age.
Want to know what’s going to happen in baseball this year? Baseball Prospectus has their, well, prospectus of this year’s final standings.
That A-Rod really can be an asshole, can’t he?
