Video of the Week
In honor of pitchers and catchers reporting this week for Spring Training, I thought I’d present what is, in my opinion, the greatest pitching performance we’ve ever seen. Sure, Clemens and Johnson whiffed 20, but I’ve never seen an overall game pitched as well as Kerry Wood’s game against the Astros on May 6, 1998.
Here are all 20 K’s in a condensed version. It’s great to watch this way as you can hear the excitement build in both the announcers voices and the crowd.
