Video of the Week
Perhaps the single greatest memory of my childhood was that of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. At the time, it was great because my team made an unbelievable comeback — down by two, two outs, bottom of the tenth inning.
Only as I got older did I grow to appreciate that game for the pain and suffering it caused Red Sox fans. As a child, I had no idea about the (then) 68 year Series drought in Boston. I didn’t care. For anyone that grew up in New Jersey or New York in that era, the ‘86 Mets defined your young baseball life.
Combining the ‘86 Mets with Vin Scully and Nintendo is just as good as you imagine it could be.
