A-Rod’s Unfortunate Photo Shoot

lukekohler.com: Latest post

Alex Rodriguez has a new interview and photo shoot in Details, and let’s just say — he probably will soon regret it. The interview is fine, not much on juicy information, but the photos are, how do I say this…not masculine. They are not the kind of photos that you would expect one of the world’s best athletes to agree to.

The interview was done on the day between Selena Roberts talking to him at the gym about her steroids article and the day the story broke.

The main points of the article:

  • A-Rod has a favorite Madonna song that he told the writer, then took back out of fear that it would play every time he came to bat in away games. I got news for you Alex, you’re going to be hearing a lot of Madonna songs on the road this year.
  • Rodriguez occasionally takes the subway to Yankee Stadium for games. At least he did. Now that that information is out, don’t expect him to ride the rail anymore, and don’t expect Brian Cashman to allow his $275 million star to keep taking public transportation to the park.
  • A-Rod praised Bud Selig for the “phenomenal job” he has done with baseball steroids problem. Again, this interview was done the day before the A-Rod/steroid story broke.

All in all, it’s actually a solid article. Rodriguez is not the most talkative guy and Details surprisingly gives us some real insight into the person. Of course, there was a good chance that he was lying his ass off in the whole interview, but nevertheless.

But put the words aside and just look at the photo shoot. When you employ an agent, a manager, the William Morris Agency and a personal P.R. adviser in your inner circle, someone, and I don’t care who, but someone needs to tell you to not pose in those positions for the photographer.
